About

I love watches. I love the way they look, the way they work, the stories behind them. I've had people call me a watch-a-holic. I'm constantly looking for "new" vintage watches to buy and thought I would use these pages to show the best finds of the day. But, you better act fast before I buy it out from under you!

Looking for something specific?

A striking enamel dial on this Tiffany and Co. wrist watch.  Old-style Enamel dial with a dial that screams, “rococo” to me.  Not only the very ornate dial work, but look at those hands!  Don’t see hands like that these days.  Evidently a converted pocketwatch, look at the decoration on the movement!  Not only nicely engraved but the florid script of the movement, very nice.  This is an 18K white gold case with brazed on lugs to convert it to a wrist.  I like the old style pocket watch “onion” crown, with the right amount of brassing to it. Nice 34mm size for the 1900’s.  Again, I really love that that enamel dial.  I should just collect baked baroque enamel dials maybe.  Would be cheaper than buying the whole watch for $5,800 (yikes!) at Second Time Around Watch Company.
