Perrelet is a brand that we do not see too much in America, except maybe in a Tourneau-type watch shop. Nevertheless, they make a quality luxury product and this watch is from their double-rotor line, so-called because of the rotor on the back on the movement, and the rotor on the front on the dial. They make a number of different “classic” designs for the double rotor, but this Ti. (titanium) version is more sporty. With the rubber strap and masculine styling, it could pass for a diver’s watch. Personally, I don’t find the watch that striking, but I do appreciate some details, like the fluting on the case sides, engraving on the case back, and also some of the details in the movement finishing. It is in great condition and I’m sure it keeps good time. Despite the sales text, this case is made of titanium, not stainless steel. This watch, even though it is a few years old, can retail for over $6,000 new, so Girard’s price of $2,895 might even be considered low for an example in mint condition. Too bad, I’m not so fond of the watch, otherwise the price might prove irresistable.
