I know, a 2010 release, not a vintage but this Bell & Ross watch is one that I have been waiting to see since it was announced earlier this year. I’m not a huge fan of the B&R square case, but I will admit that their dial designs on this line are highly readable. This line is based on aircraft dial instrumentation, and that readability has transferred well to this watch dial. I’m sure all the green lume on the hands and hour and minute indicators makes this watch just glow in the dark as well. Somehow, this OD (olive drab) color on a ceramic case and the green tinted crystal gives the right color and texture to give the entire product a very cool military feel. I even like the engraving on the back with the military-styled text engraving, a nice design touch. The movement is their stradard BR03 automatic movement, nothing out of the ordinary there. The only thing that bothers me is the mismatch of the khaki(?) not green rubber strap to the rest of the case, it looks like the canvas strap is a much better match. Why they couldn’t come up with a better rubber strap for this watch, I don’t know. Definately a wearer and a collectible model. I’ll be in the market soon for a new watch, and have this model on the list. Available for a pretty good discount at WatchUWant for $4,500.
