This watch looks like it was the bomb back in the day (1960’s). It is a Longines Admiral model that also had 5 stars applied on the dial just in case you didn’t know how kick-ass this watch was. An interesting futuristic choice for the style of the Arabic numerals, almost unreadable. But the applied gold hour markers, hands, and frame around the date window on the white dial, it shouts, “Look at me!” However, the gold on this case is only gold filled, not solid, although the bezel is solid 14K gold. The case back (which no one would see while wearing) is stainless steel rather than gold, and the movement is a typical 17-jewel automatic, pretty standard for a gentleman’s watch. The band is also plated gold, and this style was common on higher end European brands (Jaeger LeCoultre, Omega, etc.) Personally, I find this kind of band uncomfortable, because if the clasp does not hold tight or cannot be adjusted, then the watch tends to slide around on the wrist a little. However, these are sort of all minor quibbles if you desire the watch. Condition is pretty good, definately a collector model, but way over priced at $600 at Darlor Vintage Watch.
