About

I love watches. I love the way they look, the way they work, the stories behind them. I've had people call me a watch-a-holic. I'm constantly looking for "new" vintage watches to buy and thought I would use these pages to show the best finds of the day. But, you better act fast before I buy it out from under you!

Looking for something specific?

Getting my annual bonus in a few days and started to look for a watch to buy. Discovered this steezy Omega Olympic 1932 pocket watch, which has been out since 2006 but somehow escaped my notice. Brilliant in 18K White Gold, with yellow gold topped crown and pusher.  Also a nice size at 70mm. This is a “rattrapante” chronograph, which means it is a stopwatch that can measure down to 1/10 of a second.  I love the legibility of the dial, the hands are perfectly sized and long enough to read the seconds track with no problem.  Also like that retro look with the numerals font and “train track” seconds marker. Usually not too into the “bling” factor but this white gold with highlights of yellow gold is quite nice.  Even don’t mind the large Omega Symbol over the crown.  Called the Olympic 1932 because the movement is based on the original 1932 chronograph that Omega developed for the Olympics. Here, it has been updated for today’s standards. Unfortunately, my annual bonus is nowhere near $89,300 (used) or original MSRP at $105,000.
